Grilled Honey Chili Corn

Corn on the cob is a tasty side dish, especially when grilled. The combination of honey and chili powder gives the corn a sweet and spicy flavor. Grilling the corn outdoors gives the corn a smokey and savory flavor. Honey chili corn on the cob is a delicious and tasty side dish to make on grill day.  

Grilled honey chili corn is grilled corn with a homemade sauce of honey and chili powder, then seasoned with chives. 


Ingredients Details

Corn: fresh corn 

Honey: Great Value Honey

Butter: salted or unsalted butter

Citrus

Lime juice: fresh lime; alternative: lime juice

Lime zest: fresh lime

Seasoning

Chili powder: Great Value chili powder or any other chili powder brand.

Garlic powder: Great Value garlic powder or any other garlic powder brand.

Paprika: Great Value paprika or any other paprika brand.

Salt: plain salt

Pepper: ground black pepper

Chives: Great Value freeze-dried chives; alternative: fresh chives or shallots. 


Ingredients

  • 4 corns
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ½ tablespoon lime zest
  • ½ tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • Chives for seasoning

Instructions

Grill the corn. Cook each side of the corn.

Melt the butter on the stovetop or in the microwave, then set aside for the sauce.

Squeeze ½ tablespoon from a fresh lime, then use a zester to make lime zest.

Sauce

Combine the following ingredients in a bowl to make the sauce:
  • honey
  • butter
  • lime juice and zest
  • chili powder
  • garlic powder
  • paprika
  • ground black pepper
  • salt
Then whisk all the ingredients until fully combined.

Brush the corn with the sauce. Season with chives.
